Minor Hockey Monday.

Well, the weekend has past, but not without some pretty good action at the Saskcan Arena. No Senior hockey, but plenty of hockey of the minor variety.

Friday night saw the #2 Rosetown team come to Wilkie, and leave with a 5-3 decision. Wilkie received contributions from Colby Fulton (2) and Sean Fenrich. Apples are awarded to Fenrich (2), Chris Pennell (2), Fulton, and Rylan Petterson. The Red Wings, sporting vintage 1910 NHA jerseys, had goals come from Kurt Winny (2), Brendon Boyd, Colby Doetzel, and Colten Hogan. Assists were given to Boyd, Jared Stevens (2), Ryan Leonard, Landan Waite, and Doetzel. It was a barn burner, with the GWG coming in with less the 3 minutes left in the final frame.

Saturday night consisted of a double header in the home of the Outlaws, with the Bantam team taking the ice for a late afternoon tilt with the Kindersley Klippers. Both teams left with a point in their pocket, tying it up at 4. Outlaw Gino's were given to Christian Miller (2) , Tyson Munt, and Reid Laturnus. Assists were doled out to R. Laturnus (2), Munt, Sawyer Nelson, Miller (2), and Brayden Johnson. Klippers goals went to Kayden Johnson, Mitchell Klein, Kyle Donaldson and Derek McLean. Apples for the Klippers came from McLean (2), Donaldson and Johnson.

The nightcap came with the Midgets meeting up with the #1 Rosetown Red Wings, sporting the same unique jerseys as the night before. This time, the crooked numbers had Wilkie defeating Rosetown 4-3. No game sheet was available at blog posting.
